Nephi bears witness of Christ. He bears witness of the prophets of God. He warns those who reject the prophets and
the many evidences of Christ. He warns those who have “rebelled against your
holy God.” He testifies that we “should
look upon the Son of God with faith, having a contrite spirit…that [we] might
live, even unto that life which is eternal.” I add my witness that God lives and loves
us. To the extent that we find ourselves
rebelling against that which is holy, I pray that we can repent and humble
ourselves. May our hearts receive correction from the Spirit with gladness and
contrition.
