The Lamanites were surrounded and fearful for their
lives. Moroni saw their terror and
commanded his armies to stop the shedding of blood. “We do not desire to be men of blood.” Moroni’s words echo down in time to us. As Americans, we do not desire to be a people
of blood. Nevertheless, if basic freedom
is threatened in our world, we are morally obligated to stop it, even if the
battle carries us beyond our borders.
God bless our service men and women, and may our cause always be just.
