3 Nephi 7 Like a Dog to His Vomit

Nephi continues in faithfulness even though all of the people except a few had become wicked.  Nephi is visited by angels daily and is able to convert some people by working many miracles among them including raising his brother, Timothy, from the dead after he had been stoned by the people.  It only took six years for the faithful and righteous Nephites to return to utter wickedness: “…like the dog to his vomit, or like the sow to her wallowing in the mire.”
