We love Teancum because of his courage and his loyalty to
the cause of freedom. He kills Ammoron
with a javelin the same way he killed Amalickiah, thus being the one
responsible for taking out the two main kings of his enemies. He, like so many of his fellow soldiers, lost
his life in the service of his country.
May we be ever grateful for those valiant servicemen who have fought so
bravely for our safety and freedom. The
great general, Helaman, survives as a soldier returning to his home and serving
in the work of the Lord until his death.
